COMPANY · WHY THE NAME

We named it after the problem, not the pitch

Everyone else promises to clean it up. We sit in it, on purpose, and tell you the one thing that matters.

THE FOUNDING STORY

MessyNet was built in Manila, where the gap was impossible to miss: the region's conversations were happening in comment sections, group pages, and forums that global monitoring simply didn't reach — in languages it didn't read, on platforms it didn't count. The tools said quiet. The ground said otherwise.

Brothers Brett Lim (strategy and commercial) and Coby Lim (engineering and infrastructure) started building the coverage themselves: into the last mile, one platform at a time, unified into one feed that other systems could read. The company is bootstrapped and founder-run — paced on its own terms, incorporated in Singapore, still answering its own messages.

The name was the honest choice. The internet is not a dashboard; it's a mess. The work is sitting in that mess long enough to know which thing matters — and calling you only then.

Founded in Manila

Where the gap between the tools and the ground was hardest to ignore.

STEP TWO
Incorporated in Singapore

The entity, not the mission. The work stayed in the field.

How we work

WARM HANDS · DRY WIT · HARD RECEIPTS

We show our work.

Every score comes with its sources; every read comes with its caveats. If a number can't survive a "how do you know?", we don't ship it.

We answer our messages.

You will reach a person whose name you know, in the channel you already use.

We say when something's degraded.

Sources drift and platforms change. When a feed's health drops, we flag it — not your charts.

The Team

FOUNDER-LED · HERE FOR THE LONG RUN

Brett Lim

CO-FOUNDER · CEO

Brett is CEO and the more handsome Lim brother. He has two decades of launching and building everything from craft beer to digital infrastructure to consumer intelligence platforms. Brett has a degree from MIT, but that doesn't mean he's Good Will Hunting smart.

Coby Lim

CO-FOUNDER · CTO

Coby is CTO and the cooler, more well-adjusted Lim brother. At MessyNet, he's fulfilling his childhood dream of turning unstructured data into actionable insight. Coby has an engineering degree from UC Berkeley, where he did a lot of rock climbing.
